Beo will perform as part of the Southern Exposure New Music Series, as one of three finalists of the SAVVY Competition. The SAVVY Chamber Competition at the University of South Carolina, established in 2013, is the nation’s first chamber music contest to evaluate both artistic excellence and creative, innovative, event design.
Founded in 2001 by USC associate professor of composition and composer John Fitz Rogers, the nonprofit Southern Exposure New Music Series has grown steadily and attracts standing-room-only crowds from throughout South Carolina and neighboring states.
The series has achieved a national reputation for the quality and adventurous spirit of its four yearly concerts, unparalleled in the southeast for their mix of artistic quality, audience education and cutting-edge programming.
Expect to hear Beo perform several original works that include electroacoustic aspects, projected video, and digital drums!
